BRIAN : BASS GUITAR

Brian picked up his bass around 1990 and has played various genres of music including Russian folk music! He was in on the project almost from the start and has enjoyed every minute!

Originally tutored by Audrey Godden (a renowned professional musician and session player), Brian not only forms half of the RiffToads dynamic rhythm section, he is the master of lights and effects, regularly turning up to gigs with a new whirling contraption of illumination, or fog making machine! Brian ensures his popularity with the other guys in the band by regularly bringing beer to rehearsals and is also proud father to Henry, our roadie and lighting technician.

Brian has many varied musical influences, certainly too many to list! And is always the champion of new material as well as the old classics. He has a stunning collection of dazzling waistcoats, and more than his fair share of party hats, so your function will never lack colour! Brian uses a MusicMan Stingray 5 string, a Fender Precision '82 Custom or a Rickenbacker stereo depending on his mood!!

His amplification is a Peavey 15inch, and Ashdown 2X10's. He also has a dazzling array of hand held percussion.
